The magnificent edifice of the Lourdes College of Nursing is  located at Chembumukku along Kakkanad Route.  under the name Sidhi Sadan. It literally means ‘the abode of skills’. Inaugurated in 2004, Sidhi Sadan remains as one of the most selective centres for nursing education in the state recognized by INC, KNMC and affiliated to the MG University. The educational programmes include General Nursing & Midwifery (started in 1969), B Sc. Nursing (started in 2002), Post Basic B Sc. Nursing (started in 2005) and Post Diploma in Critical Care Nursing (Started in 2010). The institution upholds the motto ‘Enlightened to Lighten’. The college functions under Lourdes Society for Health care & Research constituted by the Archdiocese of Verapoly.
