Objectives of the Department :-

• To provide comprehensive nursing care / integrated health to patients who are admitted in the hospital / people / families.

  VARIOUS ACTIVITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT

  Community Nursing- The trend toward shortened hospital stays and increased utilization of out patient health care services the need for nursing care in tge home and community setting has increased tremendously. We have 8 PHC Centers were the nurses assist with clinic, conduct health educqtion and awareness programmes. In liaison with other agencies we serve as resource. Persons in training health care workers.

  ORIENTATION
  
  Orientation for new staff nurses introducing them to philosophy and objectives of the institution & nursing sevice, ward routines, policy and protocols, spirituality in nursing and other relevant topics specific to Lourdes Hospital.
  
  In Service Education
  
  In view of advancing technology, changing health care delivery systems, and advances in clinical research and practices we support the staff learning needs and quality patient care by providing ample opportunities for acquisition of knowledge and skill.
